​Artikel 1. Application conditions
These conditions apply to all the courses organized by Language Courses The Hague. Changes and / or additions to these conditions are only valid when confirmed in writing by Language Courses The Hague.
 
Artikel 2. Enrollment / Agreement

1. Within one week of its receipt of a fully completed contact form from the applicant or his employer,  Language Courses The Hague will contact the applicant to make an appointment for an intake interview and – if necessary – an intake test.
2. Once the enrollment form has been signed by both the applicant and Language Courses The Hague, both parties are bound by this written agreement.
3. Individual courses can start at any time.
4. Semi-individual courses ( 2 participants) and group courses (3 - 6  participants) can only be started once there are enough participants at about the same level of proficiency.
5. The number of hours that represents a complete course and that is stated on our website is an approximation.

 
Artikel 3. Planning / Cancellation of a course or class by the applicant

1. The day and time of the course are appointed in agreement with the applicant and indicated on the written agreement. 
2. At least 4 classes are scheduled in advance.
3. At least 4 classes will be charged before the start of the course.
4. After completion of the last class in the series, and as long as the course is running, a new series of classes will be scheduled and charged again.
5. If a scheduled course can not proceed, the applicant must inform Language Courses The Hague as soon as possible but not less than 24 hours before the scheduled course.
6. If a scheduled class can not proceed, the applicant must inform Language Courses The Hague as soon as possible but not less than 24 hours before the scheduled class.
7.  Only written (e-mail, sms or whatsapp) cancellations of the course or class received prior to the start of a course or class will be accepted.
8. If the applicant does not, or not in time inform Language Courses The Hague, the relevant class can not be rescheduled.
9. No refunds will be given in cases when participation is cancelled on or after the start date of the course or in cases the class is cancelled on or after the scheduled date.
10. Only for personal or professional reasons the applicant can interrupt the course. In that case he will be put on a stand-by list for future courses. 

 
Artikel 4. Cancellation of a course or a class by Language Courses The Hague                

1. If a scheduled course or class can not proceed, Language Courses The Hague will inform the applicant at least 24 hours before the scheduled course or class.
2. In cases where Language Courses The Hague cancels a class, the relevant class will be rescheduled.
3. In cases where Language Courses The Hague cancels a course or class, and the course or class can not be rescheduled, the entire course fees or class fees will be returned.

 
Artikel 5. Course fees / Material fees

1. Up to date fees for all the courses and additional services provided by Language Courses The Hague may be found on our website.
2. All fees include applicable taxes.
3. The course fees apply from 1 January – 31 December of the current year.
4. The intake interview, intake test and final test are included in the course fees.
5. The course materials are not included in the course fees. The prices of course materials developed by Language Courses The Hague may be found on our website
6. The cost of travel, based upon statutory mileage, will be added to all courses not conducted at Language Courses The Hague.

 
 Artikel 6. Payment / Default

1. Once the applicant has completed and signed the enrollment form, he automatically accepts the obligation to pay the course fees.
2. Once the agreement has been signed by the applicant and Language Courses The Hague, the language institute will send an invoice to the applicant.
3. Payment must take place before the start of the course.
4. The course fees shall be paid as a lump sum.
5. If  the applicant has not paid on time the amount due, the language institute has the right to deny access to the course.

 
Artikel 7. Tests / Certificate

1. For applicants who intend to participate in a course from level A1, Language Courses The Hague offers an intake test.
2. On demand of the applicant and only if the applicant successfully completes the entire course, Language Courses The Hague can issue a language certificate with the results of the final test. As mentioned above, this certificate is not free of charge. 
3. In order to successfully complete the course, the applicant needs to do his homework and assignments for each class. A minimum of  80% of the classes must be attended. Only if these minimum conditions are met, should the applicant have an expectation that he has earned the right to be tested at the end of the course to determine the level of language proficiency that he has attained. 

 
Artikel 8.  Course material

1. Language Courses The Hague reserves all rights to any and all course materials it provides.
2. No part of this material may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means without the prior written permission of Language Courses The Hague.   

 
Artikel 9. Liability

1. Language Courses The Hague is solely responsible for the execution of the agreement.  
2. Language Courses The Hague is not liable for the loss of and / or damage to property of the participants in a course. 

 
Artikel 10. Guarantee

1. Language Courses The Hague  guarantees that the courses comply with the terms of the agreement.
2. Complaints with regard to the organization of the course should immediately be reported to Language Courses The Hague.  
3. Upon Language Courses The Hague‘s determination that a complaint is well founded, Language Courses The Hague will see to it that the complaint will be settled to everyone’s satisfaction.

 
Artikel 11. Law
Dutch law will be exclusively used in the interpretation of all the aforementioned conditions.
